I have had hair extensions put in many different reputable salons, in London, Beverly hills, Dubai and Germany....and i must say, I adore my hair since I have had it done at Donte's...I found them on the internet and went in there really expecting nothing great because the prices they quoted me were so reasonable. I had Great Lengths extensions in my hair that I needed removed, and had read all over the net that to do so was terrible for my hair, so I expected to leave there with half a head of hair, and I also wanted to dramatically change my hair from box dyed black to blonde, which many Scottsdale salons told me was "Impossible".....I walked into Donte's and was warmly greeted by Donte and his daughter and then my stylist was the sweetest girl ever, not only did she remove my 6 month old Great lengths extensions without ripping out my hair, she also changed my black hair to a beautiful ash blonde without destroying my natural hair AND her color blend experience showed with the way she put in my extensions..Not to mention she stayed and worked on my hair till way after their closing time, just to make sure she did EXACTLY what I wanted!!!...I have had my extensions in for 4 months and am going to call for another appointment soon but the job that was done is so great, I could afford to wait another month with no problems! I have NEVER written an online review before but these people REALLY do deserve it...thank you SOOOOO much for the wonderful job!

I have had my extensions by Donte in for four months, and I love them! In this time period, I have had very little shedding of hair, and every one of my extensions has stayed in. I found Donte and his staff to be very professional as well as knowledgeable. I have had extensions put in by other salons, and these are the best ones that I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!

This is being written in response to the review made by "AlexaJade". Per our records we have never provided services to a client with this name. After further review we were able to match this client to a client named Nichole V. Nichole V. has made several attempts to slander our salon (this being her 4th attempt). She has tried to make many untrue statements about our salon and we wish to set the record straight. Donte's of New york has been in the hair replacement/hair extensions business for over 40 years. We have had 2 resolved complaints in the past 2 years, not 5 as stated by "AlexaJade". We do not charge the exorbitant prices that "AlexaJade" stated she paid ($3500.00) for any of our hair services. We find we are extremely competitive for our market (usually we will beat our competitors prices, while offering the highest quality products). We guarantee our work and have been doing so for the past 40 years. If there are any problems or concerns we will always address them. We pride ourselves on being a family run business and our top goal is to provide the highest level of service to our clients. We hope that you as the consumer will take the opportunity to experience Donte's of New York for yourself. I definitely wouldn't call mine a "resolved" case...they know how to work the system and get around the burea that's meant to protect us (citysearch won't let me name it) that's for sure. If I were still residing in Arizona, I would definitely take legal action on this matter. I chose not to, as the result would have ended in even more expense on my part, in addition to the $3500 they ripped me off for. I have had 2 more sets of hair extensions (obviously, by a different salon) since my terrible experience there and am happy to say that I love them, and have not had a problem since with customer service, or hair falling out in excess. Just the normal few strands per application. Buyer beware...
